CRIME ALERT: University of Michigan Police

Date of Incident:	July 2, 2012, early morning
Location:	1200 block of Oakland Ave., off-campus south of Central Campus
Offense:	Home Invasion/attempted sexual assault
Summary:	(updated on Oct 04 2012 16:50) CANCELED - Suspect arraigned 10/4/2012 and in custody. (updated on Jul 06 2012 16:00) As told to the Ann Arbor Police on July 5, an unknown man entered an apartment through an unlocked window and attempted to assault a woman. The incident was interrupted by a witness. A weapon was indicated but not seen. The suspect fled on foot.
Suspects:	1: Black male, mid-20s, dark complexion and short hair

Look assertive and be aware of your surroundings.

Have your keys in hand before you reach your vehicle or residence.
